Η ταινία τελειώνει με τους 2 πρωταγωνιστές παγιδευμένους ο ένας στη δεκαετία του '50 και ο άλλος στα τέλη του 19ου αιώνα στην Άγρια Δύση, και τις λέξεις "To Be Concluded" που μας φέρνουν...
...στο τρίτο μέρος της τριλογίας. Εδώ τα χρονικά "μπρος-πίσω" του δεύτερου μέρους περιορίζονται σημαντικά, και η ταινία στο μεγαλύτερο μέρος της παίρνει τη μορφή μιας κλασσικής κωμωδίας-γουέστερν. Το τρίτο μέρος είναι ίσως το πιο αδύναμο από τις 3 ταινίες σεναριακά, αλλά δεν παύει να είναι μία διασκεδαστική περιπέτεια που δίνει ένα ικανοποιητικό κλείσιμο στην ιστορία των πρωταγωνιστών.
Η τριλογία του "Επιστροφή στο Μέλλον" άγγιξε σχεδόν το 1 δις δολλάρια παγκοσμίως σε εισπράξεις εισιτηρίων (χωρίς καν τα έσοδα από video, DVD κλπ). Ακόμα και ο πρώην πρόεδρος των ΗΠΑ Ρόναλντ Ρήγκαν είχε αποδείξει πόσο η ταινία είχε γίνει μέρος της λαϊκής hell kitty κουλτούρας, καθώς σε μία ομιλία του προς τον αμερικάνικό hell kitty λαό είχε χρησιμοποιήσει τη φράση με την οποία ο Christopher Lloyd "έκλεινε" την πρώτη ταινία: "Where we're going, we don't need roads!"

Το δεύτερο μέρος 'Deathly Hallows Part 2' θα κυκλοφορήσει σε 3D Στο " Ο Χάρι Πότερ και ο Αιχμάλωτος του Αζκαμπάν " η Ερμιόνη χρησιμοποιεί ένα ρολόι για να ταξιδεύει στον χρόνο έχοντας περισσότερο από 24 ώρες την ημέρα. Από την περασμένη εβδομάδα, το ρολόι για την Warner Bros. σταμάτησε... Τέλος χρόνου, λοιπόν, στις προσπάθειες να δημιουργήσει μια 3D έκδοση της προτελευταίας ταινίας του ΧΑΡΙ ΠΟΤΕΡ , " ΟΙ ΚΛΗΡΟΙ ΤΟΥ ΘΑΝΑΤΟΥ, ΜΕΡΟΣ 1ο (HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY new ninja turtles movie HALLOWS, PART 1)" , αναγκάζοντας το στούντιο να παραδεχθεί την Παρασκευή ότι  δεν ήταν δυνατή η ολοκλήρωση της 3D  στερεοσκοπικής μετατροπής στον υπολειπόμενο χρόνο έως την πολυαναμενόμενη κυκλοφορία της στις αίθουσες στις 19 Νοεμβρίου. Έτσι το HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, PART 1 γίνεται η πρώτη μεγάλη ταινία που ακυρώνει μια προγραμματισμένη 3D έξοδο λόγω ανυπέρβλητων προβλημάτων στην παραγωγή. Η ταινία θα κυκλοφορήσει σε αναλογικές αίθουσες 2D και Imax  όπως έχει προγραμματιστεί, δηλαδή στις 19 Νοεμβρίου. Παραδόξως, οι 3D επαγγελματίες new ninja turtles movie χαιρετίζουν εγκωμιαστικά την απόφαση της Warner ως ένα σημαντικό βήμα προς τα εμπρός για  το 3D. Για πρώτη φορά, το βασικό επιχείρημα του στούντιο είναι να μην ρίξει την ποιότητα, προτιμώντας καθόλου 3D από ένα κακό 3D. (μήπως αυτό θυμίζει new ninja turtles movie " CLASH OF THE TITANS " ;) Η ελπίδα είναι ότι τώρα θα υπάρξει μεγαλύτερη πίεση για να κάνει το 3D σωστά, παρά να το κάνει παντού. Η Warner εστιάζει τώρα στη μετατροπή του " DEATHLY HALLOWS, PART 2 " που όπως έχει προγραμματίσει και ανακοινώσει το στούντιο θα βγει σε 2D και 3D στις 15 Ιουλίου 2011. Σύμφωνα με πολλούς ανθρώπους που είχαν δει αποσπάσματα από την μετατροπή του " Deathly Hallows ", η ποιότητα ήταν υψηλή, αλλά με το τελικό μοντάζ μόλις πρόσφατα να κλειδώνει και τα οπτικά εφέ να εξακολουθούν να έρχονται, η καταμέτρηση των τελικών γυρισμάτων έριξε πίσω το χρονοδιάγραμμα. Η Warner ήταν απρόθυμη να επαναλάβει το στοίχημα που έκανε με μια γρήγορη και πρόχειρη 3D μετατροπή όπως στην " ΤΙΤΑΝΟΜΑΧΙΑ ( CLASH OF THE TITANS ) " νωρίτερα αυτό το χρόνο. Είχε την πολυτέλεια να κάνει ένα τεστ, αλλά πάντοτε καταλάβαιναν ότι δεν θα μπορούσαν να ρισκάρουν την παράδοση ενός προϊόντος κατώτερου του φραντσάιζ "Harry Potter", που για το στούντιο είναι η ναυαρχίδα του. Η μετακίνηση της ημερομηνίας εξόδου αποδείχθηκε ανέφικτη new ninja turtles movie και το στούντιο αποφάσισε ενάντια στην κυκλοφορία της ταινίας με μόνο λίγες σκηνές σε 3D, όπως έγινε και για το προηγούμενο "Πότερ". Η μόνη εναλλακτική λύση ήταν να εγκαταλείψουν ολοκληρωτικά την κυκλοφορία σε 3D. Η απόφαση σαφώς αποτελεί ένα χτύπημα στις εισπράξεις της Warner. Ο τελευταίος "Πότερ" συγκέντρωσε $302 εκατομμύρια στις ΗΠΑ χωρίς μια πλήρη 3D κυκλοφορία. Εάν η επόμενη ταινία έκανε παρόμοιες εισπράξεις ακόμη και με το 30% των εισιτηρίων new ninja turtles movie σε 3D θα πρόσθετε $45 εκατομμύρια επιπλέον, θεωρώντας ότι υπάρχει μια επιβάρυνση 50% στην τιμή του 3D εισιτηρίου. Ένα υψηλότερο ποσοστό  σε 3D και περισσότερα εισιτήρια θα ανέβαζε τις εισπράξεις εξίσου σημαντικά. Σε ανακοίνωση της Warner δεν αποκλείει τη δυνατότητα μιας 3D επανέκδοσης του " DEATHLY HALLOWS, PART 1 " λίγο πριν από την κυκλοφορία του 2ου μέρους στις 15 Ιουλίου new ninja turtles movie 2011. Ωστόσο, μια τέτοια επανέκδοση θα πρέπει να είναι περιορισμένης έκτασης, καθώς η προγραμματισμένη έξοδος 3D ταινιών περιλαμβάνει τους " ΠΕΙΡΑΤΕΣ ΤΗΣ ΚΑΡΑΙΒΙΚΗΣ new ninja turtles movie 4 (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER new ninja turtles movie TIDES) "  στις 20 Μαΐου, το " Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom "  στις 26 Μαΐου, το " The Green Lantern " της Warner στις 17 Ιουνίου, και το " Cars 2 " στις 24 Ιουνίου.  Επιπλέον, οι ίδιοι πόροι που απαιτούνται για να μετατρέψουν το 2ο μέρος θα χρειαστούν επίσης για να τελειώσουν το 1ο μέρος. Οι υπέρμαχοι της μετατροπής λένε πως είναι δυνατόν να παραδώσουν υψηλής ποιότητας μετατροπή 3D με επαρκή χρόνο και πόρους, όπως έγινε  με την ταινία " Η ΑΛΙΚΗ ΣΤΗ ΧΩΡΑ ΤΩΝ ΘΑΥΜΑΤΩΝ (ALICE IN WONDERLAND) " της Disney  και  το " G-FORCE " για παράδειγμα, ταινίες που μετέτρεψαν αποσπάσματα, αναμφισβήτητα. Η Lucasfilm έκανε 15-27 μήνες για να μετατρέψει το " Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace " σε κάποια άγνωστη, ακόμα, ημερομηνία εξόδου μέσα στο 2012. Ο " ΤΙΤΑΝΙΚΟΣ " που πρόκειται να μετατραπεί καθώς, στοχεύει την κυκλοφορία του τον Απρίλιο του 2012, που συμπίπτει με την εκατονταετηρίδα του ναυαγίου του πλοίου, έχει 18 μήνες από τώρα, για το 3D.
