Do it yourself League school in Malmö Dominica Dominiuk, Ditte Marie Eriksen, Maja Falke, Helen Hellman, Kolbeinn Karlsson, Robin Larsson, Robert Pettersson, Hanna Stenman, Joakim Waller, joe cartoon games Anna Åhlén until June 8
Their series of booklets - with both their own and sometimes other people's comics - hangs on one wall. Visitors can take down a booklet, sit down and watch. So should comics be read: on paper (or any computer screen).
Middle of the floor, three glass display that illuminates series creation. The first booth is called "Inspiration" (this is the second (s), cartoons, music, the paint pen), the other shows the "Production" (utensils needed for drawing and painting series) and the third the "Results" (own series of booklets joe cartoon games / album ).
Then finished with quotation marks, for all is already skilled cartoonist - Series artists - while no artist will ever be perfected. Much of the technology they already have but they are at different stages on the road in terms of personality.
They introduce themselves, to be sure. It is the exhibitors representing the exhibition and perhaps because goes "Do it yourself" is not in the too-common art halls, museums trap papering the walls with long lines of comic book pages. These things tend to be so tiring, both Olas and otittbart.
Everyone has had the same limited space with room for three series of pages / images, which have been used in various - and often best - way. They may have blown up a series of side or box, display original artwork or a wrapper. Sometimes there is also a small pedestal with a series booklet.
This is a great way to introduce cartoons on a gallery wall. As a viewer brought you both into and back of the artwork, to the actual signing. And while out and forward: the animated series grows and becomes comic art.
Each subscriber then do a short brief introduction of yourself, kind you are at a party and meet someone, greet and talk briefly, to then move on. Impossible and not fair either to review, based on these small samples. Instead I will try to convey the presentations ...
Hanna Stenman has in particular made a feminist joke / gravity drawing on the basis of a statement by Nina Björk. Cover of Robert Petterson's "At the ice edge" could almost be a woodcut in color.
Doraya joe cartoon games / Maja Falke, Helen Hellman and Joakim Waller have - to varying degrees - inspired by the Japanese drawing style which in Sweden has become the most famous form of manga. Though I'm probably more fond of their use of colors than the actual sign style.
Kolbeinn Karlsson and Ditte Marie Eriksen stand out. Yes, the above excuse. I can not help but nominate Karlsson and Eriksen favorites. They are "Do it yourself" exhibition personalities.
After this, the visitor can also settle in the small DVD corner and things like watch animated cartoons of Kolbeinn Karlsson. This relates to the wearing, his magic and, not least, the forest's towering, green king.
There are still those who have the idea that comics are just for kids - no, not for adults and not well cartooning be art? I recommend all the arts and / or series interested to check out the exhibit "Do it yourself" in Sjöbogatan art gallery.
Students from League school in Malmö shows and proves in the best way what comics joe cartoon games can be in Sweden in the 2000s. The exhibition also gives a hint of what the cartoonist will be in the future: an artist based on the animated series but also broadens itself to film, painting, sculpture, everything and anything.
