I was on the small series of festival Uppsala Comix on Sunday and came home with three new comic books. Night Children of Hanna Gustavsson. Bought Hanna Gustavsson's self-published newspaper Reno Royal a few years ago and liked it a lot. Now her debut book arrived and it's damn impressive. Signs and tells masterfully. The best child of Sofia Olsson Fucking good comic. Love this kind of honesty and self-disclosure in-your-thing-narrative. A story that stays in the brain. The last six pages of the book may be the strongest ending to a Swedish graphic novel ever. Painfully honest. Mega Skull by Kyle Platts Have not read any of Platts earlier, but he is cruel. Think he is from England. I laughed a lot at the rather strange jokes in the book. Platts draw and paint sets terribly cool. I almost get a notification.
